Hello Everyone,
I have been working a lot with my Silhouette Cameo machine and I tried my first print and cut. It was a lot easier then I thought and I love the results. I printed a Studio Calico file of labels that I bought, and cut them with my machine. Pull up you print file in the Silhouette program. Now trace these images and set it to cut outer edge. Turn on your registration marks and now click on the print button in the program. Make sure to check your printer settings for the type and size of paper you are using and click print. Next line up the print out on the mat the same way it appears in the program. Load and press cut.

My 5 top Projects

Hello Everyone,
I am so happy to be posting again. I needed a long break to get back my mojo. I never stopped creating but this time it was just for me. My goal is to post once a week to keep you up to date with what's going on in my creative mind. Here is one of my top 5 projects I have been working on. This is my Project Life page for wk 44-45. I decided to combine two weeks on one layout and this is half of the layout. This is also the first time I did everything digital. I will print this as a 12by12 and add to my PL album. I most say it was really nice not having a complete mess on my desk while doing this layout, but I know i love the fell of paper and all the products so I will never go completly digital.

Steam Punk Blog Hop

Hello Everyone,
 Come Hop with us as we explore the world of Steam Punk with these digital stamps from CopicmarkerScrapbooking. They were drawn by the owner Colleen. My special letter for this Hop is G so make sure you go to all the hops in order to get the special word and  you will have a chance to win the new set of Copic Colors. These images are very playful and fun to color. I started with the gorgeous Owl. Owls are my daughters favorite so she had to have some input on this project.She gave her full approval on the card and colors used. I used   these colors: E44 with Atyou spica clear on top for the metelic feel, E23,E25,E29 body of Owl,C1,C3,C7 gears,E31,E33,B97,B99 for the belly. I was really happen with how this turned out.

 The next project is this really cool hot air balloon.I used these colors:RV95,RV93,BG70,BG45,W3 for Hot air balloon and basket E44 and clear Atyou spica for trim.

This is My Life

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted everyone to know that I'm still alive but have had a lot come up lately. My husband caught a major cold. It took him two weeks to get over, but then my daughter got and i took care of her. you guessed it I caught it next and have been feeling like a sneezing, snoting, stuffy, blub. Oh and the worst is my laptop decided it needed to retire with little warning to me of course. I have been working on a few projects in the middle of all this ,but nothing is finished.So, that's what's been going on in my life.

Jinger Adams Design Team Submission

Hello Everyone,
I made this layout to submit for the Jinger Adams call.  My mother-in-law took these pics of my kids one Sunday morning and I had to have them and make a layout. I had so much fun making this layout. I did a few things that were lurking in my mind dieing to get out. I wanted my title/journaling to be a major part of this page. I double cut the small script in blue and a green pattern paper, and the large print was cut 4 times and layered with the top cut being colored with my Copic markers to complement the page. This was somewhat time consuming but well worth it in the end. I made a mat for the page by cutting an 11 1/2 square out of the kraft card stock and using the outer frame. I sewed this to the patterned background and distressed and curled the paper back a bit. The butterflies were made by layering vellum, patterned paper, and twine for the large, and 3 layers of vellum layered and stapled for the small. The top 2 layers of the small are colored with Copics.

American Girl Doll

Hello Everyone,
I started keeping a list of layouts I want to do this year and here is one completed. These pics. were taken in 09 and I really wanted to get them in an album. My brother bought my daughter this doll when she was 5yr(he was really leery because it was an expensive doll for a little kid), and this is what it looked like 6yrs later. She took really good care of it.

Project Life 2012

Hello Everyone,
Here are some more pics of my project life. I'm actually pretty impressed with myself.  I havn't fallen behind and I truly enjoy it.  What I like the most is how my family enjoys it too.  My daughter had some friends over and she had them look at our project life album.  My husband and son have alsohave been snapping pics with there phones and sending them to me to print.I have noticed that I really like to print my own pics. I printed a two 6x6 that fit together to make a bigger print. Soooo fun.

CopicMarkerScrapbookings New Digital Stamps Feb.27th,2012

Hello Everyone,
Here is the new Digi release from Copicmarkerscrapbooking. This set is called Under The Sea and was drawn by Kathie Zaban. A fun world of sea creatures and mermaids.
Here is a book I covered with an altered image. I had a hard time capturing the sparkle in the picture.  I combined parts of three different stamps. I love the freedom to play around with digi’s.  I was inspired by Colleen’s Smash book and this is what I came up with for myself. I also did this card. The horses are behind acetate and I threw in some iridescent confetti.

Winter 2011 Slumber Party

Hello Everyone,
I try to have a get together for my daughter over every winter and summer break. This time it was a sewing slumber party. I found a project that I thought would be very useful for the girls and some what easy for beginners. I got the ideal from KwernerDesigns. She had done several of these and I thought these would work great for our conventions and sleep overs. The girls were all here by 12pm on a Fri. an we started prepping things about 2pm. I took them through the whole process, from cutting material down to the finished bag. Two of the girls have never sewn before and two had made dresses before. I was very proud of all the girls, it was a long day, but by 10pm that night everyone had a finished bag and could go off and just be silly for the rest of the time. They worked their little fingers off. Here are some collages of the pics.

Project Life 2012

Hello Everyone,
I have been missing in action for a while. I had a lot on my plate. We recently moved and our lives have changed a lot. My craft room is finally back in working order and I wanted you to know about what's new. I decided to do Project Life this year and did a lot of looking at blogs for the best way to go about it. My plan is to focus on a week at a time and showcase the pictures I take in that time frame. Some people do a picture a day. I thought for me that wasn't realistic. I also bought a starter kit from Becky Higgens and plan to use my stash also. I will include a lot of stamping with some of my favorite word stamps from Ali Edwards.
